I’ve always loved beagles. Maybe it’s their musical baying voice (some might disagree with me here) or their endearingly floppy ears. But this unique beagle jewelry I tripped over online kept me on the Magic Zoo site for quite a while recently. Maybe what attracted me the most was the general feel of the pieces- they had a unified look which isn’t surprising since all the pendants, earrings and charms on this site are made by the same artist! Quite a feat in itself.

I always seem to be prowling around for inexpensive dog jewelry. It’s not that I’m cheap; it’s just that I like to get value for my dollar, especially in these uncertain economic times. My favorite things to spend my money on are good looking gift items, preferably made in the USA, well crafted. This used to be easy! Now I have to search. But I’m encouraged by the number of American craftspeople still creating their art.

It’s a good thing people still enjoy making things from scratch. And I’m sure those artisans think it’s a good thing we humble patrons are still around to buy from them.
