I love that the artist called these handmade earrings “swirled green frog earrings”. Doesn’t it just describe them perfectly? I have no idea how they got that effect, but it is a beautiful one. I am all about great colors and patterns of colors. And, to be honest, I really like frogs as well. So this was a no-brainer for me. They are just a little larger than most of my frog earrings, but that way they’ll be noticed more. And they are so inexpensive that I can easily justify getting them just for myself. I deserve them!

Frog jewelry goes way back in time, I’m sure of it! These amphibians are so beautiful, and they come in such a rainbow of colors. I believe they are a natural to imitate in jewelry. Did the Egyptians have frog earrings and so forth? I’ll bet they did.

But one thing for sure, we modern women are crazy about them. I don’t know if it stems from frogs being considered to bring good luck in some cultures, but they seem to grow more popular every year.
