Are you one of those people who can’t get enough exercise? You fall into that mad about fitness category. That’s not so bad really. Staying physically in shape has its rewards and obviously you know that. Exercise makes you less anxious. Why is this so important? If you suffer from depression exercise is one way to make a difference in your mood. Exercise will help lower high blood pressure. Exercise helps release endorphins and neurotransmitters that make you feel good. Exercise helps reduce harmful immune chemicals that may cause depression to hang around.

Exercise helps build confidence. As you gain strength and possible weight loss you will feel and look different. And how you appear with your new toner body goes a long way to better mental health. Feeling good with your new body gives you more confidence to socialize with others. No more hanging at home feeling sorry for yourself. No more negativity to pull you deeper into depression.

Exercising comes in many forms. Just taking a walk around your neighborhood is a start. Join an exercise class at your local gym or YMCA. Stick with an exercise routine. Make it a goal. Then as you begin to feel better try something different. They’re a lot of different exercise classes you can try. Try Zumba. Try Pilates. Take a yoga class. It’s a big world out there.
