It is not easy to come across the perfect deal on high speed internet. And, here is some even better news: there is no need for you to look for deals all on your own. Read the rest of this entry »
My sister loves her Romertopf clay bakers. She has a few of them actually. One is extra large, I think they call it the maxi baker and it’s big enough to hold a seventeen pound turkey at the holidays. She also has a large baker she uses quite frequently for roasts, stews, soups and other meals throughout the year. Plus she has some of their neat small bakers like the apple baker and the banana baker. I always enjoy her cooking and I guess I dropped enough hints about her cookware because she bought me my own Romertopf Small Clay Baker for my last birthday. Read the rest of this entry »
I realized this morning that spring is finally making its appearance – and why not it’s almost April! Aside from the snow melting, which is the first of the don’t miss indicators, I realized this morning when I was lying in bed listening to the birds that I was actually able to hear them because the bedroom window stayed open for the whole night. It’s so nice to be able to sleep without breathing nothing more than stale, dry, heated, recycled air. Even though I have quite a few new chores added to the list with the changing of the season, I really don’t mind because one of the first will be to go into the garage and haul out my Aqua Colored Ceramic Bird bath. There is a ton of horse jewelry both online and off. But when this wonderful sterling silver horse charm came to my attention recently, I was smitten. It has a completely different look from any others I’ve seen either online or in my local jewelry store. I don’t know if the artist is a rider, but she has really captured the sometimes whimsical nature of this animal. There may be more realistic horse jewelry out there, but I haven’t seen any others that made me smile as much! Read the rest of this entry »
Wholesale sunglasses are a growing business since buying the sunglasses directly from the importers is very economical compared to buying them from distributors. The difference in the price is huge and so is the profit margin. Basically importers supply the sunglasses to distributors, and the customers buy them from retailers then. So if we directly buy them from the importers the profit margin of the retailer is omitted from the cost and thus we get a cheaper price. It is important to understand that sunglass distributors buy the product in bulk and get the discounted rates from the importers, which normally you cannot if you are not a registered retailer. If ever there was a dish perfectly suited for crock pot cooking, it’s chili. You can’t go wrong with a classic Crock Pot Chili recipe. Use basic ingredients and you’ll find that the results will be very favorable. Since my family already loves chili, I knew that if I stuck to a basic recipe, they would surely love the chili I made in the crock pot. After you make a basic chili, experiment a little with the spices, the meat, or the beans. I like to brown up a little spicy pork sausage to add to the ground beef or change from pinto beans to kidney beans. Read the rest of this entry »

You’ve never compared polarized sunglasses to regular sunglasses, you’re not seeing the whole picture. The difference between polarized and non-polarized sunglasses is as significant as the difference between night and day. Boaters, skiers, and runners have known about polarized sunglasses for years, and they are gaining popularity with others now as well. When light reflects off of an object, that object becomes more difficult to see. Polarized sunglass lenses offset the naturally-occurring polarization in that reflected light to remove the glare. The result is a clear picture of the object you are viewing. Read the rest of this entry »
To the casual observer, kids never seem to run out of energy and are always at play. But in reality, their still-developing bodies and immune systems are more susceptible to illnesses than adults are. The unhealthy environs and unhygienic practices that they sometimes expose themselves to during outdoor play and exploration can leave them vulnerable to many forms of diseases and infections. Add to that their typically poor eating habits, and you end up with a child whose immune system might not be well-equipped enough to deal with the daily rigors of juvenile life. Native Remedies KiddieBoost is an effective herbal remedy that can help you turn the tables. Read the rest of this entry »

Candle wedding favors are inexpensive, useful, and romantic – three key elements to consider when choosing favors for your wedding. There are many types of candles to choose from – from inexpensive taper candles tied with a ribbon to themed candles in beautiful holders. Whatever your budget, candles make an ideal wedding favor.
For those on a budget (or as secondary inexpensive wedding favors if you are especially generous), purchase long taper candles in your wedding colors from your local discount store. Then print a page of tags with your choice of words. “Thank you for coming to our wedding!” with the date and couple’s name is a good choice for the tags, but you can be more creative if you prefer. Cut out the tags with a fancy edged scissors, punch a hole in the end, and use a ribbon to tie them on to each taper. You can also tie tiny bells or fabric flowers for an elegant yet inexpensive touch. For a larger budget, consider a themed candle like those shown on eyecandygift.com. You can give candles shaped like wedding cakes, cups of coffee, roses, or gift boxes. You can also give tea light holders shaped like sailboats, crowns, or sand castles. Whatever you choose, candle wedding favors are sure to be used and enjoyed by your guests!

One of the key factors to successful weight loss is satisfying the appetite without triggering a craving to overeat. On a scientific scale, the glycemic index (GI) of a food indicates its role in digestion — the lower the GI of a food, the more slowly it converts to blood sugar. Thus, the less likely it is to stimulate uncontrollable urges to eat empty calories. How to goji berries compare to other foods? The goji berry’s GI is 29. Apples are rated at 28, oranges at 42, and cantaloupe at 65. Watermelon is a heaping 72. Of standard health fruits, only the banana compares at a GI of 25. Aside from its low GI rating, goji berries can control appetite and high blood sugar by virtue of its fiber content; goji berries are 21 percent fiber by weight. Read the rest of this entry »

Born in Austria in 1862, Gustav Klimt was among the most important artists of the Austrian Art Nouveau movement. The Kiss (1907-1908) is possibly his best-known work. It was painted during his Golden Phase, a period during which his works were distinguished by the prominent use of gold-leaf. It is thought that the famous mosaics of Venice and Ravenna inspired this technique. The original hangs in the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere in Vienna but you can own The Kiss Tapestry as a woven art work. As in the original masterpiece, Tapestry Art, The Kiss depicts a couple poised together on a flowered slope. As they share a kiss, their selves appear to merge. Mirroring Klimt’s gold-leaf technique, the tapestry has been embellished with golden threads. Read the rest of this entry »

I’ve always loved beagles. Maybe it’s their musical baying voice (some might disagree with me here) or their endearingly floppy ears. But this unique beagle jewelry I tripped over online kept me on the Magic Zoo site for quite a while recently. Maybe what attracted me the most was the general feel of the pieces- they had a unified look which isn’t surprising since all the pendants, earrings and charms on this site are made by the same artist! Quite a feat in itself. Read the rest of this entry »
